Aim Outboard Recyclers offers many marine performance upgrades, from simple bolt-on accessories to performance reed installation, prop tuning & more. Boyesen engineering make performance reed sets for just about every make and model of outboard motor. Other than a Stainless Prop, performance reeds are probably the quickest way to get some more performance from your outboard motor, this upgrade can give you better hole shot, increased fuel economy, more rpm & replace existing motors steel reeds to prevent major internal motor damage later on.
Power tuning is another great way to get some increased performance and fuel economy. As simple as changing the amount of oil you run can hurt performance, changing oils & mix-ratio can also require a change to jetting, carburetor adjustments, spark plug heat range & timing. We can tune your outboard on our dyno & make these adjustments on-site saving test runs up and down the lake.

Another very popular performance upgrade is a lower unit nose-cone kit. This upgrade is very popular for a couple good reasons.
properly installed it will give you a performance leading edge on your lower unit reducing the amount of drag as you move forward through the water.
The major reason for this upgrade is cooling, normally the water pick-ups are located in each side of lower unit, with the nose cone kit installed the water
pick-ups are re-located to the very front lower portion of the lower unit. This gives a constant increased water pressure; cooling your engine.
This is also a performance advantage, allowing you to trim the motor higher while still maintaining water pressure and proper cooling.
